Web Showcase
Trushar Shah
Graphic Designer
Trushar and I were once neighbours in Melbourne. He's one of the best graphic designers I've ever met. This is his online portfolio. Trushar designed the site and I coded it up. It's a minimalist design where the focus is on Trushar's artwork and packaging design. Trushar is currently living in Kenya. We still keep in touch. He sends me new photos from time to time and I upload them to the website for him.
Agapé Hair Design
Salon in Melbourne
Incomplete. Whilst it might seem silly to showcase an incomplete website, I think the gallery page deserves attention. It achieves Flash-like functionality with standard-compliant code and JavaScript (specifically, jQuery). That's common practise now but not so common when I did this back in 2008. Trushar and I worked on this site together. He came up with the animation idea and site design. I coded it up. This site remains incomplete because the owner decided not to go ahead with it.
Trumpet Bar
Cocktail Lounge
Incomplete. Trumpet Bar was to be a cocktail lounge on Melbourne's Russell Street. Trushar did the great design, which I cut-up and implemented as HTML and CSS. PHP was used process the contact form. To cut a long story short, Trumpet Bar went bust and this site never saw the light of day.
Bureau Veritas
International Certification Agency
My first major website. Bureau Veritas is an international certification agency based in France. I setup their Oceania website and intranet using a WCM that they built. The documentation for this WCM was a bit lacking when I was there but I had fun figuring it out.
I sourced most of the original content through brochures, interviews, company documents, and news articles.
Other Websites
I've worked on more websites but these are my favourite to date. See the JLT Portfolio page for some of the sites I've worked on for JLT Australia.
